Splitting of conveyor belts

Coveyor belt ends are generally split as a preparation before splicing.
The splice can be a stepped splice, or a finger-over-finger splice. Only if conveyor belt covers are very strong (like PU), and/or if the load on the conveyor belt is very low, double or triple ply belts are spliced with a simple finger joint and splitting is not required. Single ply conveyor belts are not split at all.

We have a number of belt splitters, for different needs. One example is our latest design, the PLY 130. The main advantage of the very accurate PLY 130 is that it splits as deep as 130mm at once, a big advantage when splitting very thin conveyor belts or when the material is difficult to cut, like thin PU conveyor belts.
